Getting clean swirls and petals

For a smooth swirl, keep consistent pressure through the whole curve rather than pressing harder mid-stroke — varying pressure is what makes a swirl look shaky instead of confident. For petal and butterfly wing strokes, load the brush fully, press at the widest point, then draw through and lift cleanly to avoid a ragged edge at the tip.

Caring for your brushes

Rinse brushes in clean water immediately after use and reshape the bristles before they dry. A gentle brush soap helps lift dried paint from the ferrule without damaging the bristles. Store brushes flat or bristle-up to keep their shape between events.
