Water Activated Face Paint Colours
Water activated face paint in solid cakes: wet your brush or sponge slightly, work it over the cake until the paint turns creamy, and it is ready for base work, linework and detail. This page brings together all of Fusion Body Art's solid colours: the matte Prime range in 32g pots, large 50g to 100g pots of black and white, soft Prime Pastels, shimmering Pearl and metallic shades, and UV / Neon special FX colours that glow under blacklight.
Which face paint range to choose
31 matte shades with bold coverage for bases and crisp linework, including three whites and Strong Black. Made with FDA and EU approved pigments.
Strong Black (50g and 100g), Paraffin White and Pro Paraffin White (50g and 90g). The two colours every painter uses most, in event-sized pots.
Six soft matte shades: yellow, orange, green, pink, purple and blue. Made for fairy, princess, unicorn and floral designs.
Ten shimmering shades in 25g, including the duo-tone Magenta Dreams and Peacock Magic, plus Metallic Silver and Gold in 32g. Best as a base; Silver and Gold also suit linework.
Seven shades that glow under a UV or blacklight (they don't glow in plain darkness). Sold as special effects products for festivals, blacklight parties and stage work.
How to use water activated face paint
- Dampen your brush or sponge, then work it back and forth (or in circles) over a small area of the cake until the paint is creamy.
- Use as little water as you can, especially on the large pots. Never spray your cakes; activate one area at a time so the rest stays dry.
- Pearl and UV / Neon colours take longer to activate than Prime colours, so give them a few extra strokes.
- If a cake goes soft, let it dry in a well-ventilated area before using it again. A spare black and white keeps you painting in the meantime.
Removing face paint
Use soap and warm water on a sponge or soft cloth, rub gently until the pigment loosens, then rinse. For any leftover stain, apply lotion or baby oil, leave it for a few minutes and wipe off. Water activated paints can stain fabrics and other porous surfaces.
Do not sleep with paint on skin. Do not use on broken or irritated skin.
