Black Face Paint
Black Face Paint
Fusion Body Art Strong Black face paint is a super-dark, opaque black built for the job black does on almost every face: outlines, whiskers, spider legs, bat wings and the final detail that makes a design read from across the room. It comes in 32g, 50g and 100g, so you can match the size to how often you paint.
Clean lines start with the brush
A wobbly black line usually comes from an overloaded brush, not the paint. Load a fine round brush, wipe most of the water off on a tissue, then pull each line in one smooth motion rather than dabbing.
- Light pressure at the tip for whiskers and eyelashes
- Press and lift for teardrops and tapered outlines
- Paint black last, once the colours underneath have set
- Keep a separate brush for black so your colours stay clean
Which size to buy
Strong Black is the same formula in every size, so the choice comes down to how much you get through.
- 32g: fits a standard palette or kit and suits occasional painting
- 50g: a step up for regular parties and markets
- 100g: for busy painters who use black on nearly every face
- Black also shades: a light dry-brush pass adds depth under scales and cheekbones
Black and white work as a pair: add white face paint for teeth, eyes and highlights. For Halloween faces, combine black with green face paint for witches and zombies, or with red face paint for devils and vampires.
