FAQs
What is it?
A face paint palette with 11 solid colours plus 6 split cakes — perfect for a budding artist or a seasoned pro, for carnival face paint designs.
Who is it for?
Beginners and professional face painters alike — ideal for birthday parties, school events, and fundraisers.
Is it suitable for kids?
Yes, for ages 3 and up. Paraben-free. As with any cosmetic, we recommend a patch test before full application.
How is it removed?
Apply liquid soap first, work into the paint, then rinse with warm water. No special remover needed.
What are the split cakes for?
Multi-colour paint blocks. Glide a flat brush across one in a single stroke to pick up several colours at once — ideal for fast, vibrant cheek art.
Can colours be mixed?
Yes. Blend Fusion colours together while wet to create custom shades, or layer colours once the base layer is dry.
How many faces per palette?
Approximately 100 + designs depending on coverage and complexity. Full-face designs will yield fewer.
Is this suitable for a school event or fundraiser?
Yes — the 11-colour solid range plus 6 split cakes gives enough variety for a wide range of quick designs, making it well suited to busy events like school fairs and fundraisers.
Beginner or pro?
Works for both. The solid colours are straightforward for beginners to use, while the split cake adds professional one-stroke technique options.

How to use
1
Activate — solid colours
Dampen your brush or sponge with a small amount of water. Less water = more opaque; more water = more translucent. Swirl the damp brush on the paint surface until you get a creamy consistency.
2
Loading the split cake
Use a flat brush to load all of the colours in the split cake at once, or use a smaller brush to just pick up a few. Start with a slightly damp brush and add more water as needed by dipping one corner lightly into your water.
3
Apply
Sweep the flat brush across the split cake to pick up all colours in one stroke for fast cheek art, or use solid colours individually for full-face designs. Sponges give smooth base coverage.
4
Let dry
Paint dries quickly to a smudge-resistant finish. You can layer colours once the base is dry, or blend while still wet for endless custom shades.
5
Remove from skin
Apply liquid soap first, work into the paint, then rinse with warm water. For the gentlest removal, we recommend Brush & Body Wash by Jest Paint ↗ — a natural, plant-based soap safe for skin and brushes.
6
Clean your brushes & store
Clean brushes after each use with Brush & Body Wash by Jest Paint ↗. Store the palette dry with lids on in a cool place away from direct sunlight. Never leave in a hot car.

Comparison
vs oil-based paints
Acacia Senegal Gum base is lighter than oil-based formulas — no greasy feel, and removes with soap and water instead of oil cleansers.
vs alcohol-activated
No setting spray needed. A gentler choice for children and sensitive skin. Not suitable for full waterproofing requirements.
vs premium palettes
A more affordable entry point than larger split-cake-only palettes, while still giving beginners and budget-conscious event painters the essential colour range they need.
Best for
Birthday parties, school events, and fundraisers where a reliable, easy-to-use core colour range matters more than a large speciality palette.
Not suitable for: full waterproofing requirements. If you need waterproof paint, consider an alcohol-activated formula instead.
Safety & storage
Patch test
Test on the wrist 30 minutes before full application. Discontinue use if any reaction occurs.
Do not
Do not sleep with paint on skin. Do not use on broken or irritated skin.
Storage
Store dry with lids on in a cool place away from direct sunlight. Never leave in a hot car. Use within 12 months of opening.
Brushes
Clean after every use with Brush & Body Wash by Jest Paint to extend brush life and prevent cross-contamination.
