When applied thickly for linework, a purply magical sheen appears as the light catches it — a signature effect of this colour.

50–200 applications, depending on how much of the design uses Dark Magic Blue and how heavily it's applied.
Is it safe for kids?
Yes, for ages 3 and up. As with any cosmetic, we recommend a patch test on the wrist before full application.

How to apply & remove

Apply
Gently rub the surface of the cake with a slightly damp sponge or brush until you get the consistency you need. This is preferred over spraying water directly onto the cake, which can lead to overly wet, runny paint.

Apply thickly for the magical sheen
For linework, apply the colour thickly — this is what reveals the signature purply sheen as light catches it.

Layer or blend
Layer colours on top of each other once the base colour is dry, or blend Dark Magic Blue with pearl and prime colours while still wet for amazing depth.

Let dry
Dries quickly, and once dry has a smudge-resistant finish.

Remove
Easily removed with soap and water on a soft cloth or sponge. For the gentlest removal, we recommend Brush & Body Wash by Jest Paint ↗ — a natural, plant-based soap safe for skin and brushes.

Clean your brushes & store
Clean brushes after each use with Brush & Body Wash by Jest Paint ↗. Store the jar dry with the lid on in a cool place away from direct sunlight. Never leave in a hot car.

Acacia Senegal Gum base is lighter and more breathable than oil-based formulas — no greasy feel, no pore-clogging, and removes with soap and water instead of oil cleansers.
vs standard blues

Desert island paint!

This Blue is absolutely amazing! Linework, stencilling, shading, it does the lot! It also mixes beautifully with pearl colours and prime colours to give amazing depth to any design. If I would only pick one blue for my kit, this would be it!

PRODUCT LABEL & INFORMATION

Add water to your brush before you apply it to the skin. Wash with soap and water, some colours may stain skin temporarily. Keep lids closed when not in use. All cosmetics can, on rare occasions cause allergic reactions. Do not apply to sensitive or broken skin. Test by placing a small amount to the wrist, if reaction occurs within 30 minutes discontinue use. FDA recommends not to use Pink Sorbet, Magic Magenta, Royal Purple and Fresh Lilac around the eye area. Use within 12 months of opening.
