Bright Rainbow is a go-to for butterfly face paint and butterfly face painting, and works beautifully for tie-dye cats, rainbow princesses, flowers, snakes, and dragons when loaded onto a brush one colour at a time.
What's the difference between a rainbow cake and a split cake?
Split cakes are 30g, with colours arranged in narrow bands so a single flat-brush stroke blends them into a smooth gradient — built for quick one-stroke details like petals or flames. This rainbow cake is 50g with six full-sized colour segments, giving you enough of each shade to sponge a complete multi-colour base over a larger area, as well as one-stroke work when you load just a few colours onto a brush.
Can I use a brush instead of a sponge?
Yes — load a 1" or smaller flat brush with just a few of the colours at a time for one-stroke rainbow flowers, snakes, butterflies, and dragons.
How many applications does one cake give?
100–250 applications, depending on how much of the design uses the rainbow cake and how heavily it's applied.
Is it safe for kids?
Yes, for ages 3 and up. As with any cosmetic, we recommend a patch test on the wrist before full application.

How to apply & remove

Load your sponge
Dampen a sponge or body brush so it's moist, not dripping. Swipe it across all six colours a few times so each one picks up evenly, then apply to the skin in one smooth motion without scrubbing — this keeps the rainbow crisp instead of muddy.

One-stroke brush work
For flowers, snakes, butterflies, and dragons, load a 1" or smaller flat brush with just a few of the colours at a time rather than sweeping across the whole cake, then paint in a single confident stroke.

Add detail
Once the rainbow base is complete, add outlines and details using white, black, or another solid Fusion colour for extra definition.

Let dry
Dries quickly, and once dry has a smudge-resistant finish.

Remove
Easily removed with soap and water on a soft cloth or sponge. For the gentlest removal, we recommend Brush & Body Wash by Jest Paint ↗ — a natural, plant-based soap safe for skin and brushes.

Clean your brushes & store
Clean brushes and sponges after each use with Brush & Body Wash by Jest Paint ↗ so colours don't carry over between uses. Store the cake dry with the lid on in a cool place away from direct sunlight. Never leave in a hot car.

PRODUCT LABEL & INFORMATION

Add water to your brush before you apply it to the skin. Wash with soap and water, some colours may stain skin temporarily. Keep lids closed when not in use. All cosmetics can, on rare occasions cause allergic reactions. Do not apply to sensitive or broken skin. Test by placing a small amount to the wrist, if reaction occurs within 30 minutes discontinue use. FDA recommends not to use Pink Sorbet, Magic Magenta, Royal Purple and Fresh Lilac around the eye area. Use within 12 months of opening.
Not tested on Animals. Vegan Friendly. Glutten Free. Perfume Free. Paraben Free. Because this product can stain other surfaces, please avoid contact with carpets, fabrics and upholstery.
